What does superwash mean?

Superwash is a chemical treatment that removes the outer scales of wool fiber, preventing felting. Treated yarn can be machine-washed without felting or shrinking. Chlorine-free processes (H2O2 or enzymatic) are preferred for environmental reasons. The treatment does not affect the natural hand-feel of the wool; it only removes the felting tendency.

Is superwash safe for sensitive skin?

Yes. Our chlorine-free superwash process is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, meaning no harmful substances remain in the yarn. The cashmere component (30%) provides additional softness for sensitive skin. Some customers with very severe wool allergies may still react to any wool-based yarn, regardless of superwash treatment, due to residual lanolin traces.

What is the MOQ for custom colors?

Custom Pantone colors from 5 kg per color. Custom count from 2/36 to 2/60 Nm available from 50 kg. Lab dip in 5-7 days, bulk production 30-40 days for custom orders. Mixed dye lots within a single color accepted at no surcharge.

Can I machine-wash garments made from this yarn?

Yes. Garments made from this superwash yarn can be machine-washed on a delicate/wool cycle at 30°C with cashmere-wool detergent. Lay flat to dry. Do not tumble dry. The superwash treatment prevents felting, but air-drying is still recommended for longest life. The garment will soften with washes over time.
