Why Ordos factory lead times are not a single number

- Treat Spring Festival as a hard lead-time boundary. Any program that needs to ship between late January and mid-February is at material risk of missing the date.

February–March: knitting resume and finishing ramp
Knitting resumes across the cluster in mid-to-late February. Finishing (washing, softening, mending, pressing) and pre-shipment inspection ramp up through March. For a buyer, this is the window when late-spring and early-summer 2027 deliveries should be cleared — not started.

What is not realistically possible regardless of rush:
- Spring Festival-crossing programs that need to ship in the last 10 days before or first 10 days after the holiday.
- Custom baby cashmere (<13.5μm) lots outside the September–October combing window.
- Programs that require fiber from a specific pasture or herder cooperative outside the May–June combing round.
A buyer who asks for any of these as a “rush” is asking for an answer that no factory in Ordos can honestly give.
